Assistant Store Manager Job Description
An Assistant Manager must understand every aspect of the business and be able to function in whatever capacity is necessary to accomplish the owner’s goals. In each day the Assistant Manager will fulfill job tasks belonging to a Technician, a Marketing assistant, a Web Designer, a Salesman, an Administrative Assistant and more. The Assistant Manager may not complete every task him/herself, but will be accountable for the task’s delegation and accomplishment.
Store Management: Implement store goals set by Owner/Manager. Maintenance and growth of store, inventory, ordering, customer tracking, remote calls, subscriptions, service calls, monthly plans, in store projects. Participate in training for all aspects of store management as determined by owner.
Employee Management: Train employees in company goals, policies and culture as well as job descriptions. Manage job scheduling, employee accountability and position goals.
Administrative and Financial Management: Tracking and reporting on financial goals, maintenance of databases, errands, invoicing and collecting payments (daily not collections), project budgeting and data entry.

I. Assistant Manager Job Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in the technical field
- 3-5 years experience in a customer service, sales or related industry
- Must have reliable car available during all employees working hours
- Must have valid and current driver’s license/insurance
- Be able to troubleshoot, multi-task, follow direction, think through problems
- Good communication skills: verbal, written and listening
- Follows direction and desires to excel
II. Assistant Manager Responsibilities
- Implement goals set by Owner/Manager
- Must fulfill all aspect of Technician Responsibilities (see Technician Job Description)
- Maintenance of store location, tech shop and inventory
- Budgeting, ordering and tracking of all product going in or out of the store
- Tracking of all customer needs including but not limited to service calls, estimates and orders, remote calls, subscriptions, monthly plans, in store
projects, invoices, payments and recurring billing
- Maintaining customer accounts with security and integrity of information
- Train employees in their current job descriptions, testing and updating their knowledge at recurring times such as staff meetings
- Updating company and employee communication to maintain a customer service based culture that employees acknowledge on a daily basis
- Manage all employee scheduling in store and on location
- Set employee goals, hold reviews and maintain accountability for each employee
- Invoice and collect payment on all projects in store and on location
- Data entry of information pertaining to management of store – maintaining all forms of information for security and integrity of the information
- Track and report on goals set with Owner/manager
- Participate in training for all aspects of store management as determined by owner
